Cantley Community Centre are proud to be a Centre Partner with providing learner centered computer courses in the Doncaster area, for all adults wanting to learn to use a computer. Over 30 interactive online courses can be accessed by registering with and be guided through the courses by
experienced tutors at the Centre. After the simple free registration (required to access the courses), the
starting point for beginners will be Online Basics.
Here's what you will learn:
There are six short modules to get you started.
- You can get to grips with the keyboard, learning the functions of different keys and practising typing.
- Once you've mastered the keyboard you can follow simple step-by-step instructions to learn how to use a computer mouse.
- You will learn how to send and receive emails, how to use an address book and how to store emails in folders.
If you don't have your own email address we can help you geta free email address to practice your new skills.
- We've got a whole course on internet safety - so no matter what you're learning or practising, this module will help
you stay safe and secure online.
- You'll learn how to search the internet and find websites that can help you save time, money and hassle!

If you’ve got the basics of computers and the internet under your belt, this is the place to start learning a little bit more. Whether you want to chat to family and friends on Facebook, share digital photographs or learn how to shop online, we’ve got a short course to help you do it.

The courses are designed to take at your own pace and can be repeated as many times as required, as once you have registered the courses can be accessed at any time (go-on courses) anywhere you can log on to a computer with internet access.
