Welcome to Cantley Community Centre

Serving the Community

Latest News:

Hello everyone. I hope that you all had a fantastic Christmas and a brilliant New Year, and most of all a safe one.

I would like to start by saying thank you to everybody that attends the Centre in any way or form, and for your support throughout last year. Hopefully, you will continue to do the same in 2024.

We have a new baby class starting on Friday 12th January, called Baby Fun. It starts at 10:30 and finishes at 12:30, and is organised by The Family Hub. If you would like more information, please contact the Centre.

If you feel that you would like to get fit for the new year, please contact the Centre, as we can you with the contact numbers of the tutors who run exercise classes: Zumba, Yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Pilates, Ladies Ballet and dance for the little ones.

We are of course running a full timetable, and should any of these take your fancy please get in touch for more details or to book a place. We always welcome new participants and new events, so if you wish to run a class please ring or pop-in for details of room hire.

For 2024 we have arranged new classes which I hope you as a community will support and make a success. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy New Year, from myself, Ian and Pete.

Take care, Rob.

About Us

A Brief History

Cantley Community Centre began life as the South Cantley Community Association in 1998, when a group of local residents took over the former Cantley first School building. Since then there have been many trials, tribulations and successes culminating today with a social amenity that is a registered charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee, offering a range of educational, social, academic and leisure facilities. It is open to all members of the community regardless of social standing, gender, political and religious beliefs, age or race.

Our Aims

To be the 'HUB' of the Community

It is our aim to become “the Hub” of the community bringing all aspects of the community together and promote understanding.

Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Cantley and surrounding areas without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Promote charitable activities and be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
